May 2023 Photo Contest Winners
June is here and, with summer upon us, we’re excited to share our May 2023 photo contest results!
The submissions we received this month were truly outstanding, and we’d like to start by extending a warm thank you to all participants for sharing their work!
With all the votes tallied, it’s our absolute pleasure to reveal the following photographers as our May 2023 photo contest champions:

Hailing from the cannabis-inspired creative heartland of Portland, Oregon, the talented @britt-nizzle is a shining star in our community. She’s been a dedicated member since September 2022, repeatedly impressing the community with her mouth-watering entries, contributing to the enrichment of our platform, and making waves in the world of cannabis photography.
Brittney, as she’s known outside of our digital realm, is a published professional photographer and Media Director. She has a discerning eye for capturing the essence of cannabis plants, dried buds, concentrates, and more.
Her winning entry, Tropic Thunder | Rosebud Growers PDX, portrays a vibrant live plant of the strain Tropic Thunder, grown by Rosebud Growers PDX. The flower showcased in her shot exudes a vitality that is a testament to her expertise in macro photography and her undeniable talent behind the lens. A special shoutout also goes to Rosebud Growers PDX for producing the top-notch flowers Brittney gets to photograph.
With this outstanding piece from Brittney setting the bar high, let’s move on to our second-place winner.

Recognized as one of our earliest members, @siraynot, or Tony, joined us in October 2020. Since then, he’s played a significant role in shaping our Potography community, influencing the cannabis photography landscape with his innovative approach, and inspiring other artists to share their unique perspectives.
Tony is a cannabis photographer who infuses his works with distinct flair. He’s especially adept at capturing the nuances of live plants, dried buds, concentrates, and rolled products. His award-winning entry for our May 2023 photo contest, blunttoppinz, is a mesmerizing display of a blunt generously topped with concentrate.
While the strains of the flower and hash pictured aren’t mentioned, the image showcases @siraynot‘s knack for macro photography by highlighting the detailed craftsmanship of the rolled product and the vibrant colors and textures of the flower and concentrate.

Yet again, our champion @britt-nizzle demonstrates why she is a cornerstone of the Potography community. From her joining the platform in September 2022 to her multiple victories in our monthly photo contests, she has left an unmistakable mark on our community and enriched the realm of cannabis photography as a whole.
Brittney’s passion for photography permeates each and every one of her shots. She has a particular talent for capturing macro shots of live cannabis flowers, and her first-place entry, Baby Cakes | Macro | Rosebud Growers PDX, is a testament to this.
The winning photo features a vivid, close-up shot of the strain Baby Cakes, grown by Rosebud Growers PDX. The shot highlights the strain’s heavy trichome coverage and beautiful bouquet of colors from the yellows and oranges in the pistils to the deep purples and greens in the bracts. Brittney’s skill for live plant macro photography shines through in this piece that captures the strain’s uniqueness in breathtaking detail.
