October 2022 Photo Contest Winners
Congrats to @britt-nizzle for her second consecutive win, this time taking all 3 of the top slots!
Our October 2022 contest was another quiet one, with just three entries that made the final cut (several entries had to be denied over quality concerns). This left our winner, @britt-nizzle, as the only competitor with her three outstanding entries.
Despite her being the only contestant this month, we’re confident her entries would stand out in any crowd and we love to see her bringing the fire concentrate photos to our gallery. Since most of our entries and winning images so far have been flower photos, we can’t get enough of these insane concentrate shots by Britt.
With all that said, let’s get into the results to take a closer look at the winning images by @britt-nizzle.
Third Place: @britt-nizzle
Kali Ma extracts: Dosidos Sauce
Our third-place winner for the October 2022 photo contest is Britt’s shot of Dosidos sauce by Kali Ma Extracts. The image focuses on a nice fat glob of sauce on the tip of a metal dab tool, all set against a nice sky-blue background.
The golden-colored sauce stands out beautifully against the blue background and makes even those of us (like me) who don’t dab every day want to start rethinking our life choices.
Second Place: @britt-nizzle
Rosebud Growers
In second place, Britt’s sole flower shot for the month won the hearts and eyes of the judges (Nick and Sam), who are both admittedly heavily biased toward flower. We love dabs, of course, but Nick and I (Sam) both prefer flowers over concentrates and this is what ultimately led us to choose Britt’s shot of Rosebud Growers Papa Don over her shot of the Dosidos Sauce.
Personal bias aside, both the photo and the bud pictured are incredible. The neutral grey background might seem boring at first, but it’s actually the perfect compliment to the insanely complex bouquet of colors and textures displayed by the bud itself, from the white and orange hairs to the purple, green, and golden-white-covered buds.

First Place: @britt-nizzle
Bahama Mama Rosin – PDX Dabs x Rosebud Growers
Finally, in first place, the consensus favorite for the month was @britt-nizzle ’s shot of “Bahama Mama Rosin – PDX Dabs x Rosebud Growers.”
With a more teal-colored blue background than what was used in the Dosidos Sauce photo, this image creates a similar effect in that the golden-tan rosin stands out beautifully against the blue-teal background.
Just like her winning shot from our September 2022 photo contest, this particular sample of rosin looks like it could be a scoop of ice cream (some sort of coffee or butterscotch flavor, I’d imagine. Yum).

Closing thoughts
We love seeing high-end concentrate photos in the contest and hope to see more like this in the future. Thanks again to everyone who submitted entries last month (even those we could not approve) and thanks to all who voted or tuned in to our live announcement stream on Instagram.
