With another round of mesmerizing cannabis photography entries, we’re genuinely moved by the creativity expressed by our members each month. A big thanks and round of applause for everyone who added color to this contest!

For those who’ve been with us for a while, the name @NSD420 shouldn’t be new to you. @NSD420 is a cannabis photographer in San Jose, a longtime Potography member, and a repeat contest winner whose background and experience with the cannabis industry and cannabis photography shines brightly through his captures.
His passion for cannabis and his unique creative perspective gives his photographs a distinctive edge, and his knack for cannabis macro photography is both inspiring and captivating.
@NSD420’s third-place photograph for September showcases the intricate beauty of a live cannabis plant brilliantly cultivated by Canna Culture San Jose and captured by @NSD420 in stunning detail.
But that’s just the beginning of NSD’s conquest this month!

@NSD420‘s journey as a longtime member and one of our most awarded contest winners has been nothing short of inspiring. His commitment to Potography and the broader cannabis community sets new standards for us all.
@NSD420‘s foundation in the San Jose cannabis industry, combined with a profound love for cannabis photography, lends a unique flavor to his work and his cannabis content masterpieces, especially when it comes to live plant macro photography and dried bud videography (we highly recommend giving him a follow on Instagram).
This month, his second-place winning piece offers an impeccable display of cannabis macro photography. Each detail reflects both his skill behind the lens and the care and expertise of the growers at Canna Culture San Jose, from the prolific coverage of crystal-clear trichomes to the beautiful multi-colored pistils. We can’t get enough of this sort of work, and we love to see it coming from our very own @NSD420.

@NSD420, a beacon of talent in the Potography community, reigns supreme once again taking the top spot and securing a rare 3-way win for our September 2023 Photo Contest.
NSD’s storied journey with Potography, marked by countless contest wins over several years, stands testament to his dedication to the craft and community, and his love for cannabis photography is evident in every frame.
His entries for September might have been unnamed, but they certainly won’t be forgotten any time soon. His first-place shot features a bud that’s a bit further along in its flowering cycle than the buds featured in his other entries so, naturally, it’s a bit more enticing to us flower-lovers.
The trichomes have started turning cloudy, the pistils are all yellow or orange, and the bracts are swelling, which means she’s almost ready to chop! But just like the other two winners, the intricacies on display in this live plant macro leap out, exquisitely representing the stellar work of both @NSD420 and the talented growers at Canna Culture San Jose.
All three shots were a noticeably different style and setting than what we’ve seen from @NSD420 in the past, and we love to see him exploring new styles and techniques in new gardens.
