Our first regularly scheduled contest is complete and our winners really outdid themselves this month! We had 14 outstanding entries and it was hard to choose a favorite. In fact, we had to have our judging committee break the tie for 3rd place! Read on for a complete breakdown of the results…
May 2020 Photo Contest Results
First, CONGRATS to all of our winners and thank you to everyone who participated in celebrating cannabis-inspired art with the Potography community.
Bud shots took the spotlight again this month, but this time with an increased focus on macro details like trichomes, bracts, and stigmas. We were simply blown away by some of this month’s entries!
Without further ado, here’s a breakdown of our May 2020 photo contest results:
THIRD PLACE
The third-place winner is a close-up bud shot of Watermelon Punch grown by Decibal Gardens and photographed by NSD420 (@nsd_420). The photo beautifully highlights the insane trichome production and purple coloration displayed by the Watermelon Punch and brought to life by the talented growers at Decibal Gardens.
We’ve been daydreaming about the taste and effect of this strain since the day NSD420 submitted the entry, and printing it on our fine art hemp paper was the icing on the cake.
SECOND PLACE
Moving up the leaderboards is our friend and brother @the_chronickk with another one of his gorgeous bud shots from his personal stash. Nick is always smoking the best weed in the world and this Fuelato by the experts at Connected Cannabis Co. (@connected.california) is no exception.
FIRST PLACE
In first place we have an amazing shot of a juicy flowering top in front of a colorful rainbow background photographed by TheDankOne420 (@thedankone420), also known as StickyLens. We absolutely love this shot, and we can’t get enough of that rainbow background!
The strain pictured is Panda Puffs (Peanut Butter Breath x Acai Gelato), bred by Compound Genetics (@compound_genetics) and grown by @thekaiserchief.
