Tony Simonelli is no stranger to our Potography community. His passion and dedication to the craft are evident in his work with outdoor garden shots and live plant photography, and his entries have always caught our eye.
This month, his winning entry, High, presents a drone-captured view of an outdoor garden and highlights a well-organized and cared-for cultivation facility. The expert use of the drone and natural lighting gives viewers a rare glimpse into the kind of work it takes to produce the cannabis flowers we all enjoy.

Tony is not just a professional photographer but an artist who brings a unique perspective to cannabis photography. We know this is true when it comes to his live plant photography, and it’s also true with regard to his work with concentrates, diamonds, and extracts.
His winning entry, 1000g THC Diamond, features an absolutely massive THCa diamond being held carefully by a gloved technician. This thing looks like a giant quartz crystal, and it’s sometimes hard to believe something like this can be made from cannabis.
Aside from the mind-blowing size of the diamond, the visible details and textures, along with the perfect lighting, come together to create an image that’s as much art as it is photography.

As a longtime member and returning contest winner, Tony is a big source of inspiration to everyone at Potography. We deeply appreciate his creativity and contributions to Potography and the larger cannabis community.
