Our September 2020 photo contest results are in. The voting period has officially ended, votes have been tallied, and the results have been published in the contest gallery. Keep reading to learn more about our September winners…

But first, thank you to our returning contestants and also to those who are just now joining us.

We had new participants this month along with our returning contestants, and we’re excited to see the community continuing to grow every month. Each new artist who joins the contest brings a new style and creative element to the table, and we hope this can act as a source of inspiration and motivation for other members of our community.

September 2020 Photo Contest Results

Our September contest was another close one, with more than 30 votes spread across 8 thoughtfully-composed entries. Each contestant brought their unique flavor to the table, and we love seeing all the different artistic styles inspired by the cannabis plant.

Our first, second, and third place winners had a perfectly staggered vote tally; the second place winner had one more vote than the third place winner, and the first place winner had one more vote than second place. This makes our September contest one of our closest yet!

Without further ado, here are the results:

Third Place: @the_chronickk

In third place we have a returning member of the Potography family, @the_chronickk. Nick has placed in more Pototgraphy photo contests than any other participant, and after being bumped out of the top 3 for the first time last month, he’s made his way right back.

Nick’s been telling us all about the Tom Hill Haze he photographed for his third place entry, and we’re happy to see the community thought it looks just as great as he says it smokes!

Nick creates his unmistakable aesthetic with his iPhone and some of the world’s best cannabis genetics, and his third place shot for our September contest was no exception.

If you want to stay in the loop about some of the best strains out, be sure to give Nick’s IG page a follow.

Second Place: @kymkurvink

Purple Punch – America 1776 Farm life

Our second place winner for September is first-time contestant @kymkurvink. Kym submitted a beautiful shot of Purple Punch approaching harvest time.

The shot features a single ripe bud with juicy resin tacos and swollen bracts, and the purple leaf color could easily be mistaken for black. On top of the dark-colored plant material, white trichomes coat the entire surface. This is one of those photos that makes your mouth water.

Well done to @kymkurvink and thank you for joining us!

First Place: @NSD420

Dosido

After a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place sweep last month, @nsd420 (@_nature_sweetest_dank on IG) returned in September with three more amazing entries. All three entries made it into the top 5, and his shot of Dosidos took the top spot.

The first place winner for our September contest features a fat Dosidos bud against a purple background. Dosidos is always an impressive strain, both to smoke and to photograph, and this bud looks particularly resinous with more trichomes visible than plant matter.

NSD did a great job highlighting the purple coloration, chunky bud structure, and insane trichome production often expressed by the Dosidos genetic line. We can only imagine how much of a pleasure this bud was to smoke after the photo shoot!
